Originally from Ribera, the cultivation of the Orange of Ribera PDO (Riberella) extends over the territories of 14 municipalities in the province of Agrigento. Its production begins in the first ten days of November with the Navelina variety and continues, from December to the end of May, with the Brasiliano and Washington Navel varieties.
The Ribera Orange, with a very pleasant taste, has a blond pulp and seedless. Contains vitamins A, B1, B2, vitamin C, minerals and sugars. It has well-balanced nutritional components, readily assimilated and easy to digest. A single orange is enough to satisfy the daily requirement of vitamin C which is antioxidant and contributes to the strengthening of the immune system. It can be eaten fresh as fruit or juice. Suitable for use in the kitchen in the preparation of aperitifs, digestives, first and second courses. Excellent orange salads, sweets and desserts. It should also be consumed in the evening for its high digestibility. The oranges are harvested and processed on the day of shipment to ensure the freshness and quality of the product.
